Eagles RB Westbrook sits out practice again

Dec 5, 2008 - 7:14 PM PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- Philadelphia Eagles running backs Brian Westbrook and Correll Buckhalter missed practice again Friday, making their availability for this weekend's game against the New York Giants uncertain.

Westbrook, who has a team-leading eight touchdowns this season, is nursing knee and ankle injuries. The All-Pro practiced Wednesday but sat out Thursday and Friday's workout. He is listed as questionable.

Eagles coach Andy Reid, however, said he expects to see Westbrook in the lineup.

"He should be able to go. He'll be fine," Reid said Friday.

Westbrook played through pain last week against Arizona and delivered with his best game of the season, rushing for 110 yards on 22 carries and scoring four TDs - which tied a franchise record - in a 48-20 win on Thanksgiving.

Buckhalter also missed practice with a knee injury and is listed as doubtful. If neither can play, Lorenzo Booker likely will be called upon to start.
