Cowboys RB Barber questionable for Sunday

Dec 5, 2008 - 11:28 PM IRVING, Texas (Ticker) -- The Dallas Cowboys may be without running back Marion Barber for Sunday's critical game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Barber missed his fourth straight practice Friday with a dislocated right pinkie toe that he suffered in the second quarter of the Cowboys' 34-9 win over Seattle on Thanksgiving and is listed as questionable.

The Cowboys received better news regarding linebacker DeMarcus Ware, who went through a full practice Friday and is considered probable.

Ware, the NFL leader with 15 sacks, had been sidelined after hyperextending his left knee against Seattle. He had three sacks in the win over the Seahawks.

Barber is the Cowboys' leading rusher, having run for 870 yards and seven touchdowns this season.

If Barber is unable to go, rookie Tashard Choice would start against the league's top-ranked defense. Choice rushed for 57 yards on 11 carries against Seattle after Barber was injured.

Dallas (8-4) heads into Sunday's game tied with Atlanta (8-4) for the NFC's second wild card spot.
