Seahawks G Wahle needs surgery
Dec 6, 2008 - 5:35 PM SEATTLE (Ticker) - Seattle Seahawks starting left guard Mike Wahle will require surgery on his injured right shoulder.Wahle, who missed the past two games and was placed on season-ending injured reserve Friday, expects to be out up to four months.
"(Returning this season) just wasn't in the cards," Wahle told the Seattle Times. "We tried everything short of surgery to get me ready to play."
Wahle was injured in a game against the Arizona Cardinals on November 16. He had started all 10 games before he was hurt.
Seattle has been ravaged by injuries this season as Wahle is the third starting offensive linemen to go on injured reserve.
No one has shouted yet.
