Packers place T Tauscher on injured reserve
Dec 11, 2008 - 4:46 PM GREEN BAY, Wisconsin (Ticker) -- The Green Bay Packers on Thursday placed offensive tackle Mark Tauscher on injured reserve, ending his season.Tauscher tore the ACL in his left knee during Sunday's 24-21 loss to the Houston Texans, and could undergo surgery next week, according to Packers coach Mike McCarthy.
Tauscher, who hurt the same knee in 2002, is in his ninth season with Green Bay. He started all 16 games in 2007, putting him over 100 for his career.
In a corresponding move, the Packers signed tackle Nevin McCaskill.
