Wallace likely to start at QB for Seahawks
Dec 11, 2008 - 6:44 PM RENTON, Washington (Ticker) -- With Matt Hasselbeck still bothered by a chronic back injury, Seneca Wallace likely will start Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams.A back injury has plagued Hasselbeck all season, forcing him to miss his sixth game of the season last weekend against the New England Patriots.
Wallace was superb in place of Hasselbeck, completing 20-of-28 passes for 208 yards and three touchdowns in the 24-21 loss to the Patriots.
Hasselbeck, who did not practice Wednesday, has just one 200-yard game this season. He has tossed just five scoring passes and 10 interceptions.
Seattle has lost six straight games and is tied with St. Louis at 2-11 at the bottom of the NFC West.
