Eagles WR Curtis misses practice again

Dec 11, 2008 - 8:46 PM PHILADELPHIA (Ticker) -- Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Kevin Curtis missed practice again Thursday due to a a concussion in last weekend's game against the New York Giants.

Eagles coach Andy Reid said Curtis was "getting better" but was unsure if he would be available for Monday night's home game against the Cleveland Browns.

Running back Brian Westbrook missed practice Thursday for what Reid termed "precautionary reasons, while tight end L.J. Smith sat out due to a knee contusion.

Smith had six catches for 44 yards - both season highs - in a 20-14 win over the Giants that kept Philadelphia's playoff hopes alive. Curtis had two receptions for 42 yards in the contest.

After sitting out the first seven weeks while recovering from sports hernia surgery, Curtis has 28 receptions and one touchdown in seven games.

One option for Reid would be to re-insert wideout Reggie Brown into the starting lineup. Brown has sat out the last three games and was a healthy scratch for last week's game.

Reid was non-committal over that possibility.

"We'll see how it goes this week. We'll see how it works out this week," he said.
