IRVING, Texas (Ticker) -- Dallas Cowboys running back Marion Barber practiced on a limited basis Friday and is questionable for Sunday's matchup against the New York Giants.
Barber sat out last week's 20-13 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers with a dislocated right pinkie toe - an injury that caused owner Jerry Jones to question the Pro Bowl running back's toughness.
Rookie Tashard Choice made his first career start and rushed for 88 yards on 23 carries against the league's top-rated defense. He also had five receptions for 78 yards.
The 25-year-old Barber is Dallas' leading rusher with 870 yards and seven touchdowns this season. He has also caught a career-high 47 passes for 366 yards and a pair of scores.
Dallas (8-5) heads into Sunday's game against the NFC East-leading Giants tied with Atlanta (8-5) for the NFC's second wild card spot.
