Browns place TE Heiden on injured reserve

Dec 17, 2008 - 4:14 PM BEREA, Ohio (Ticker) -- The Cleveland Browns on Wednesday placed tight end Steve Heiden on injured reserve, ending his season.

Heiden suffered a torn right ACL in Monday's 30-10 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. He appeared in 14 games this season, including 11 starts, and caught 23 passes for 249 yards.

Also on Wednesday, the Browns placed linebacker Beau Bell on injured reserve, signed tight end John Madsen to the active roster and signed wide receiver Paul Hubbard from the practice squad to the active roster.
