49ers RB Gore to be a game-time decision
Dec 19, 2008 - 3:27 PM SANTA CLARA, California (Ticker) -- San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore sat out practice against Thursday and will be a game-time decision for Sunday's game at the St. Louis Rams.Head coach Mike Singletary said he plans to have Gore sit out practice on Friday and rest his sprained left ankle.
"It's more about rehab right now than anything else," Singletary said.
Gore sat out last weekend's 14-9 loss to the Miami Dolphins. He has not practiced since suffering the injury in the second half of a 24-14 win over the New York Jets on December 7.
DeShaun Foster gained 76 yards on 18 carries last week in place of Gore, who has rushed for 978 yards and six touchdowns in 13 games this season.
