Ravens K Stover has happy homecoming
Dec 21, 2008 - 3:57 PM IRVING, Texas (Ticker) -- Dallas native Matt Stover gave the Dallas Cowboys the boot in the last NFL game at Texas Stadium.Stover kicked four field goals to help the Baltimore Ravens secure a 33-24 triumph over the Cowboys on Saturday.
For Stover, who connected on field goals of 26, 29, 37 and 35 yards, it was a happy homecoming.
"I used to come to this stadium and sell programs," Stover said. "The history of the Dallas Cowboys is great, they were my team growing up. I was really proud to be here on this night.
"I kicked four field goals in my only other appearance here (1994 with Cleveland) and was able to come in and kick four tonight."
