Bengals RT Andrews tears ACL; QB Palmer to practice
Dec 22, 2008 - 6:37 PM CINCINNATI (Ticker) -- Cincinnati Bengals right tackle Stacy Andrews suffered a torn ACL in his right knee in Sunday's 14-0 win over Cleveland.Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis on Monday said Andrews may not be ready for next season's opener.
A fourth-round pick in 2004, Andrews made $7.5 million this season as the team's franchise player.
Lewis also said that quarterback Carson Palmer is going to practice on a limited basis this week for the first time since October 3, and that how his elbow responds will go a long way in determining if surgery is required.
The Bengals (3-11-1) host the Chiefs (2-13) in the regular-season finale on Sunday.
