Redskins place LB Alexander on IR
Dec 24, 2008 - 7:33 PM ASHBURN, Virginia (Ticker) - The Washington Redskins on Wednesday placed defensive tackle Lorenzo Alexander on injured reserve.Alexander injured his hamstring in last week's 10-3 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. He appeared in 15 games this season, registering 26 tackles and two sacks.
To fill his spot on the roster, the Redskins signed linebacker Tyson Smith.
