Cowboys QB Romo returns to practice

Dec 25, 2008 - 8:34 PM IRVING, Texas (Ticker) -- Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo returned to practice on Thursday, one day after being sent home with flu-like symptoms.

The two-time Pro Bowler walked past reporters in the tunnel on the way to the field and said, "I'm feeling great. I feel like a hundred bucks," when asked of his condition.

Romo's status does not seem to be in question for Sunday's huge game against the Philadelphia Eagles (8-6-1). If the Cowboys (9-6) win, they clinch a wild card berth.

Romo missed three games earlier this season with a broken pinkie finger on his right hand and has been limited in recent weeks by a nagging back injury.

The 28-year-old Romo has passed for 3,265 yards and 26 touchdowns in 12 games this season.

However, he also has been prone to turnovers, throwing 13 interceptions and losing five fumbles.
