Bengals WRs Johnson, Houshmandzadeh inactive

Dec 28, 2008 - 5:45 PM CINCINNATI (Ticker) -- The Cincinnati Bengals will be without their top two receivers - Chad Johnson and T.J. Houshmandzadeh - for Sunday's season finale vs. the Kansas City Chiefs.

Johnson missed last week's game with a hamstring injury, and his absence signals the end of a tumultuous season in Cincinnati for the five-time Pro Bowler.

Johnson began the season demanding a trade, then posted his worst numbers since his rookie season of 2001. The eccentric Johnson finished with 53 catches for 540 yards and four touchdowns in 13 games.

Houshmandzadeh is out with a back injury. He played sparingly last week and did not register a catch in a 14-0 win over Cleveland.

A free agent after the season, Houshmandzadeh is fourth in the league in catches with 92 for 904 yards and four touchdowns.

Third-year receiver Glenn Holt and the troubled Chris Henry will likely start vs. the Chiefs.
