Cardinals WR Boldin to play Saturday
Dec 30, 2008 - 9:50 AM GLENDALE, Arizona (Ticker) -- The Arizona Cardinals' offense should be at full strength for their first playoff game in 10 years.Pro Bowl wide receiver Anquan Boldin said Monday that he will play in Arizona's game against the Atlanta Falcons on Saturday.
Boldin missed the last two games for Arizona with a shoulder injury but said there was no way he would miss an opportunity to play in the first postseason contest of his career.
"If anybody thinks I'm going to miss this game, they're not too bright," Boldin said. "If my arm was broke, I'd be out there. I'm not missing this one."
Boldin, who also missed two games earlier in the season with a concussion and facial fractures, finished second on the team with 89 catches for 1,038 yards and 11 touchdowns.
When healthy, the sixth-year pro gives Arizona one of the best receiving duos in the league. Pro Bowl receiver Larry Fitzgerald had 96 catches for 1,431 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Prior to this season, the NFC West champion Cardinals had not made the playoffs since 1998. The division title is the franchise's first since 1975.
