Slaton, Rodgers-Cromartie Rookies of Month
Dec 31, 2008 - 8:28 PM NEW YORK (Ticker) -- Houston Texans running back Steve Slaton and Arizona Cardinals cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie on Wednesday were named the NFL's Offensive and Defensive Rookies of the Month for December.Slaton capped his big season by leading the league with 687 scrimmage (508 rushing, 179 receiving). He also posted three consecutive 100-yard rushing games in the month.
Rodgers-Cromartie, one of the reasons why the Cardinals won their first division title since 1975, recorded a pair of interceptions and also recovered a fumble over the season's final month.
