Steelers QB Roethlisberger practices; to start Sunday

Jan 5, 2009 - 9:53 PM PITTSBURGH (Ticker) -- Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who suffered a concussion in the regular-season finale, returned to practice Monday and is expected to start this weekend's AFC divisional playoff game against San Diego.

Roethlisberger was carted off the field late in the first half of a 31-0 win over Cleveland on December 28 after banging his head on the ground after getting sacked.

Roethlisberger passed his final post-concussion test on Monday. He said he's taken several tests over the past week and feels fine.

The Steelers (12-4) host the Chargers (9-8) on Sunday with the winner advancing to the AFC championship game to face the winner of the Tennessee-Baltimore contest.
