Cardinals WR Boldin misses practice again
Jan 7, 2009 - 10:10 PM GLENDALE, Arizona (Ticker) -- Arizona Cardinals Pro Bowl wide receiver Anquan Boldin missed his second straight practice Wednesday, keeping his status for Saturday's divisional playoff game at Carolina uncertain.Boldin injured his left hamstring near the end of a 71-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter of last week's 30-24 wild card playoff win over Atlanta and did not return.
Boldin, who also missed Arizona's final two regular-season games with a shoulder injury, did work on some agility drills with a team trainer later Wednesday.
"I know he'll do everything he can to be ready and we certainly want him there," said Arizona
coach Ken Whisenhunt, who acknowledged that the hamstring injury likely was caused by rust.
"If it was anything else you would have an idea, but with a hamstring you just never know."
Despite also missing two games earlier in the season with a concussion and facial fractures, Boldin finished second on the team with 89 catches for 1,038 yards and 11 touchdowns.
