Cardinals WR Boldin says he'll play
Jan 16, 2009 - 8:25 PM TEMPE, Arizona (Ticker) -- Arizona Cardinals Pro Bowl wide receiver Anquan Boldin said Friday that he will start Sunday's NFC championship game against the Philadelphia Eagles. After completing his third practice of the week, Boldin made it clear that he is ready to go.
"If nothing else happens, I'll be out there," said Boldin, adding that the hamstring isn't "grabbing" or hindering him in any way.
Boldin suffered the injury in the Cardinals' wild-card victory over the Atlanta Falcons on January 3 and was forced to miss last weekend's NFC divisional playoff game against the Carolina Panthers.
The three-time Pro Bowler also missed Arizona's final two regular-season games with a shoulder injury.
Boldin finished second on the team with 89 catches for 1,038 yards and 11 touchdowns, despite also missing two games earlier in the season with a concussion and facial fractures.
The upstart Cardinals (11-7) are in the NFC championship game for the first time in club history.
