Steelers WR Ward leaves game with knee injury

Jan 19, 2009 - 1:32 AM PITTSBURGH (Ticker) -- Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward suffered a right knee injury in Sunday's AFC championship game.

The Steelers listed his return as doubtful.

Ward was injured midway through the opening quarter after making an 11-yard reception. His knee appeared to be bent back under him on a tackle by Baltimore Ravens cornerback Frank Walker.

After going to the locker room, Ward returned for another series, catching a short pass before leaving the game for the rest of the first half.
