Thrashers re-sign Marty Reasoner
Jun 8, 2009 - 10:38 PM ATLANTA(AP) -- Forward Marty Reasoner, who set a career high with 14 goals for Atlanta last season, has re-signed with the Thrashers.The 32-year-old Reasoner signed with Atlanta last year after playing with Edmonton for six seasons. He also has played with Boston and St. Louis during his 10-year career.
Terms of the deal were not announced. Reasoner would have become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.
Reasoner had 30 points, including 16 assists, in 79 games with the Thrashers.
"We knew he would be good defensively, killing penalties, but he provided offense also," general manager Don Waddell said.
No one has shouted yet.
