COLUMBUS, Ohio(AP) -- The Columbus Blue Jackets swapped two draft picks to the New York Islanders for four selections in Friday night's NHL draft.

The Blue Jackets dealt their only first-round pick, No. 16 overall, along with their third-round pick, No. 77.

The Islanders, who had used the No. 1 overall pick to take John Tavares, sent the No. 26 pick in the first round, No. 37 in the second, No. 62 in the third and No. 92 in the fourth round to Columbus.

Coming off their first trip to the playoffs in the franchise's eighth season, the Blue Jackets were looking to add depth players.
