Stars LW Morrow lands on IR
Dec 28, 2006 - 11:45 PM FRISCO, Texas (Ticker) -- Two days after undergoing the knife, Dallas Stars captain Brenden Morrow was given some time to recover.Morrow was placed on injured reserve Thursday after having successful surgery to repair severed tendons in his right wrist less than 48 hours earlier.
In his first season as team captain, the left wing underwent the procedure late Tuesday night at a hospital in Chicago after being stepped on by a skate in the Stars' 2-1 loss to the Blackhawks earlier that evening. He will be re-evaluated by Dallas' medical staff on Friday.
Morrow, 27, also missed eight games earlier this month with a groin injury. Drafted 25th overall in 1997, he has 10 goals and 10 assists in 28 games this season.
