Holmstrom out indefinitely; Red Wings recall Bootland
Mar 5, 2007 - 11:23 PM DETROIT (Ticker) -- Detroit Red Wings left wing Tomas Holmstrom, second on the team in goals, is out indefinitely with an upper body injury, the team announced Monday.Holmstrom, 34, played in Sunday's 4-3 overtime loss to Colorado, missing a penalty shot. It is not clear when he suffered the injury. He is listed as day to day.
The native of Sweden has scored 20 of his 26 goals since January 1. In that stretch are four multi-goal games, including two hat tricks.
The Red Wings recalled right wing Darryl Bootland from Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League. Bootland, 25, had 17 goals and 29 points in 56 games for Grand Rapids.
