Thrashers send Todd White to Rangers for 2 players
Aug 2, 2010 - 3:49 PM ATLANTA(AP) -- The Atlanta Thrashers have traded center Todd White to the New York Rangers for forwards Patrick Rissmiller and Donald Brashear.The Thrashers say they will place Brashear on unconditional waivers Monday with the intent of buying out the rest of his contract. Brasher will become an unrestricted free agent if unclaimed.
The 38-year-old Brashear had one assist and 73 penalty minutes in 36 games with New York last season. Rissmiller is 31 and appeared in only two games with the Rangers last season.
The 35-year-old White had seven goals and 26 points in 65 games with Atlanta last season. He signed with Atlanta as a free agent in 2007 and previously played with Chicago, Philadelphia, Ottawa and Minnesota.
