Sharks re-sign C Zalewski, D Joslin for 1 year
Aug 6, 2010 - 12:50 AM SAN JOSE, Calif.(AP) -- The Sharks say they have re-signed center Steven Zalewski (zuh-LES-ski) and defenseman Derek Joslin to one-year contracts.Financial terms of the deals with the 23-year-old players weren't announced Thursday.
Zalewski was second for Worcester of the AHL with 62 points - including 22 goals - in a career-high 78 games last season. He also posted career bests in goals and assists. He added a goal and five assists in 11 playoff games.
Zalewski played in three games with the Sharks.
Joslin had five goals and 27 assists in 55 games with Worcester, and added four goals and an assist in 11 playoff games. Joslin also played in 24 games with San Jose, recording three assists.
In 36 career NHL games with San Jose, Joslin has three assists and 18 penalty minutes.
