Thrashers sign defenseman Meyer from Islanders
Aug 19, 2010 - 4:36 PM ATLANTA(AP) -- Defenseman Freddy Meyer, who appeared in 64 games with the New York Islanders last season, has signed with the Atlanta Thrashers.The 29-year-old Meyer was an unrestricted free agent.
He had four goals and 11 assists with the Islanders last season. He began his NHL career with Philadelphia in 2003 and set a career high with 27 points for the Flyers in the 2005-06 season.
