Red Wings agree to 2-year deal with F Abdelkader
Aug 23, 2010 - 5:38 PM DETROIT(AP) -- The Red Wings have agreed to a two-year contract with forward Justin Abdelkader.Detroit general manager Ken Holland announced the deal Monday. Terms were not disclosed.
Abdelkader played in 50 games for the Red Wings last season. He had three goals, three assists and was third on the team with 152 hits.
He had two goals and had an assist in 10 games during the 2009 playoffs when Detroit advanced to the Stanley Cup finals and had two points in 11 postseason games this year.
