Stars re-sign right wing Krys Barch
May 1, 2007 - 11:13 PM FRISCO, Texas (Ticker) -- Dallas Stars general manager Doug Armstrong announced Tuesday that the team has re-signed right wing Krys Barch to a one-year, $475,000 contract for the 2007-08 season.The 26-year-old Barch appeared in 26 games this season with the Stars, recording three goals and two assists with 107 penalty minutes.
"Krys is a hard-nosed player who plays with an edge and did a good job for our hockey club last season," Armstrong said. "We will look for him to continue to improve his game and make an impact for our organization next year."
Originally signed as a free agent by the Stars on July 18, 2006, Barch has appeared in 224 career AHL games over parts of seven seasons, recording 25 goals and 41 assists with 444 penalty minutes. He was originally drafted by Washington in the fourth round (106th overall) of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft.
