Report: Flyers re-sign RW Upshall
May 11, 2007 - 3:28 AM TORONTO (Ticker) -- The Philadelphia Flyers liked what they saw in Scottie Upshall.According to a report on TSN of Canada's web site Thursday night, the Flyers re-signed Upshall to a two-year, $2.45 million contract.
Acquired from Nashville in the February 15 trade that sent superstar Peter Forsberg to the Predators, Upshall will receive $1.2 million next season and $1.25 million in 2008-09. The 23-year-old made $900,600 this past campaign.
Drafted sixth overall by Nashville in 2002, Upshall appeared in just 14 games for the Predators this season, notching two goals and an assist. He instantly clicked with the Flyers, however, registering six tallies and 13 points in 18 contests.
In 95 career games, Upshall has collected 17 goals and 25 assists.
