No timetable for Hossa's return

Apr 18, 2012 - 2:26 PM Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Chicago Blackhawks forward Marian Hossa was released from a hospital after leaving Tuesday's game against Phoenix on a stretcher.

The Blackhawks did not disclose the exact nature of the injury, which occurred in the first period of a 3-2 overtime loss to the Coyotes after Phoenix forward Raffi Torres delivered a head-high hit.

"Marian Hossa suffered an upper body blow in the first period of [Tuesday's] game," the Blackhawks said in a statement. "After initial evaluation on the ice he was taken by ambulance to the hospital for further testing, which yielded encouraging results. He has been released from the hospital, and we are monitoring him closely at home. We anticipate a full recovery in a timetable yet to be determined."

Torres, who left his feet to make the hit, was not penalized on the play.
