Red Wings re-sign C Hudler to two-year deal
Jul 6, 2007 - 3:36 AM DETROIT (Ticker) -- The Detroit Red Wings on Thursday re-signed center Jiri Hudler to a two-year contract.Financial terms were not disclosed.
A second-round pick in 2002, Hudler appeared in 76 games for Detroit last season, recording 15 goals and 10 assists. The 23-year-old Czech collected 13 of his 25 points over the campaign's final 20 contests.
Voted the Red Wings' Rookie of the Year by the Detroit Sports Broadcasters Association, Hudler made his NHL debut in 2005-06, when he registered two penalty minutes in four games.
