Flames sign MacDonald to one-year contract
Apr 20, 2013 - 3:24 PM Calgary, AB (Sports Network) - The Calgary Flames have signed goaltender Joey MacDonald to a one-year contract.MacDonald, acquired off waivers from Detroit in February, will earn $925,000 next season.
Since joining the Flames, MacDonald has appeared in 18 games and has a record of 7-7-1 with a 2.91 goals-against average and a .900 save percentage.
The 33-year-old Nova Scotia native has a career mark of 38-55-14 with a 3.02 GAA and .903 save percentage in 119 NHL games with Boston, Detroit, the New York Islanders, Toronto and Calgary.
