Season over for Flyers' Timonen
Apr 23, 2013 - 5:20 PM Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Kimmo Timonen will miss the final three games of the season with a compression fracture in his right foot.Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren made the announcement Tuesday, adding the veteran Finn will be fully recovered in 4-5 weeks.
The 38-year-old Timonen registered five goals and 24 assists in 45 games this season.
Timonen signed a one-year contract extension with the Flyers on Feb. 7.
