Blackhawks' Bolland set to return
May 15, 2013 - 6:04 PM Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Forward Dave Bolland will return to the Chicago Blackhawks' lineup for Wednesday's Game 1 of the team's Western Conference semifinal series with the Detroit Red Wings.Bolland, the Blackhawks' second-line center for the majority of this season, will be playing for the first time since Apr. 22. He sat out the entirety of Chicago's opening-round series against Minnesota, as well as the club's last three regular-season tests, with a groin injury.
The 26-year-old recorded seven goals and seven assists over 35 games during the lockout-shortened 2013 campaign.
Goaltender Ray Emery is also expected to suit up for Wednesday's opener. The veteran, who will serve as the backup to Corey Crawford, was held out of the entire Minnesota series as well due to a lower-body issue.
