Kane has successful foot surgery

Jun 13, 2013 - 5:31 PM Winnipeg, MB (Sports Network) - Winnipeg Jets forward Evander Kane underwent successful surgery to address a nerve problem in his left foot.

The Free Press reported on Friday that the procedure was performed some time earlier this week in Manitoba's capital, and that recovery time will be 4-to-6 weeks.

Kane, who totaled 17 goals and 33 points in 48 games during the truncated 2013 schedule, also has a wrist issue which may require him to go under the knife.
