Rangers' Del Zotto undergoes sports hernia surgery
Jun 13, 2013 - 6:31 PM New York, NY (Sports Network) - New York Rangers defenseman Michael Del Zotto underwent a second successful sports hernia surgery Thursday morning, the team announced.As was the case two years ago, Dr. William Meyers performed the procedure at the Riverview Surgical Center in Philadelphia. Expected recovery time is four weeks, which leaves the 22-year-old Del Zotto plenty of time to be ready for the start of training camp.
The Toronto-area native recorded three goals and 21 points in 46 games for the Rangers this past season.
