Senators re-sign D Schubert to three-year deal
Jul 24, 2007 - 6:29 PM OTTAWA (Ticker) The Ottawa Senators on Tuesday avoided salary arbitration by re-signing defenseman Christoph Schubert to a three-year agreement.Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Schubert had eight goals and 17 assists with a plus-30 rating in 80 regular season games last year with the Senators. His arbitration hearing was scheduled for Friday.
The 6-foot-3, 230-pounder has 12 goals and 23 assists in 136 career games in the NHL.
Schubert, 25, represented Germany twice in the Olympic Games.
