Senators re-sign C Kelly to one-year deal
Jul 31, 2007 - 3:12 PM OTTAWA (Ticker) -- The Ottawa Senators avoided salary arbitration with Chris Kelly on Tuesday, re-signing the center to a one-year contract.Financial terms were not disclosed.
Kelly, 26, appeared in all 82 regular-season games with the Eastern Conference champion Senators this past season, recording 15 goals and 23 assists. The Toronto native also collected three tallies and four assists in 20 postseason contests.
A third-round draft selection in 1999, the 6-foot Kelly has 25 goals and 43 assists in 168 career games over parts of three seasons - all with the Senators.
