Capitals re-sign D Erskine

Aug 27, 2007 - 8:56 PM ARLINGTON, Virginia (Ticker) - The Washington Capitals on Monday re-signed defenseman John Erskine to a two-year contract.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Erskine, 27, played in 29 games for the Capitals last season, recording one goal, six assists and 69 penalty minutes.

The 6-4, 216-pounder has amassed four goals, eight assists and 405 penalty minutes while playing for the Capitals, New York Islanders and Dallas Stars.
