Rangers ink D Boyle
Jul 1, 2014 - 6:23 PM New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Rangers agreed to terms with veteran free agent defenseman Dan Boyle on Tuesday.Boyle, who turns 38 on July 12, inked a contract reportedly to be for two years and worth $9 million.
He spent the past six seasons with the San Jose Sharks and totaled 12 goals with 24 assists over 75 games in 2013-14.
Boyle has 144 goals and 561 points in 954 career games with Florida, Tampa Bay and San Jose. He won a Stanley Cup with the Lightning in 2004.
The Rangers also agreed to terms with blueliner Mike Kostka in the opening hours of free agency.
