Ducks sign F Silfverberg to 1-year deal
Aug 15, 2014 - 7:59 PM Anaheim, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Anaheim Ducks signed restricted free agent forward Jakob Silfverberg to a one-year contract on Friday.Silfverberg, 23, came over from Ottawa in the blockbuster trade that sent forward Bobby Ryan to the Senators last summer. The Swede missed time with a broken right hand last season and finished with 10 goals and 13 assists in 52 games.
A second-round draft pick of the Senators in 2009, Silfverberg made his NHL debut during the lockout-shortened 2013 season and posted 10 goals and 19 points in 48 games.
