Sharks place Braun, Wingels on IR
Jan 20, 2015 - 11:26 PM San Jose, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The San Jose Sharks placed defenseman Justin Braun and forward Tommy Wingels on injured reserve Tuesday.Both players suffered upper-body injuries during San Jose's 5-2 loss to New Jersey on Monday.
"We've lost Braun. He's got an injury. He'll be out for a while and so will Tommy Wingels," Sharks head coach Todd McLellan said following Monday's game.
Braun has tallied one goal and 18 assists in 47 games this season, while Wingels has posted 11 goals and 14 assists over the same amount of games.
San Jose also recalled defenseman Dylan DeMelo from Worcester of the AHL and loaned defenseman Mirco Mueller to Worcester on a conditioning assignment.
