Sens' Stone has microfracture in wrist
Apr 16, 2015 - 5:47 PM Montreal, QC (SportsNetwork.com) - Ottawa Senators forward Mark Stone has a microfracture in his right wrist after taking a vicious slash from Montreal's P.K. Subban in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals on Wednesday.Subban whacked Stone in the second period of Montreal's 4-3 victory and was given a major penalty with a game misconduct for his action.
Reports Thursday indicated that Subban would not be suspended.
Stone left the ice after taking the slash, but returned later in the game. His status for the remainder of the best-of-seven series has not yet been determined.
Game 2 is scheduled for Friday in Montreal.
Stone was Ottawa's second-leading scorer this season with 64 points and also finished second in goals with 26.
