Thrashers LW Kovalchuk returns to Wednesday's game
Oct 11, 2007 - 12:09 AM ATLANTA (Ticker) -- Atlanta Thrashers left wing Ilya Kovalchuk returned to Wednesday's game against the Ottawa Senators after leaving in the first period with an undisclosed injury.Kovalchuk, who scored his first goal of the season at 6:56 of the session, sustained a high check from Ottawa's Mike Fisher while tripping over Patrick Eaves after unleashing a shot later in the period.
The 24-year-old Russian was back in action in the second period, however.
No one has shouted yet.
