Canucks recall D Edler from minors

Oct 15, 2007 - 4:57 PM VANCOUVER, British Columbia (Ticker) -- The Vancouver Canucks on Monday recalled defenseman Alexander Edler from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Manitoba Moose.

Edler, 21, recorded one assist in two games with the Moose this season and also appeared in five preseason games with the Canucks, scoring two goals and three points.

A third-round draft selection in 2004, Edler registered one goal and two assists in 22 games with Vancouver last season - his first in the NHL.
