Hurricanes activate RW Walker from injured reserve
Nov 27, 2007 - 7:37 PM RALEIGH, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Carolina Hurricanes right wing Scott Walker, who missed 17 games with what the team described as a torso injury, was activated from injured reserve on Tuesday.Walker suffered the injury against the Pittsburgh Penguins on October 19.
Prior to the injury, the 34-year-old Walker registered a goal and two assists in seven contests this season.
Acquired July 18, 2006 from the Nashville Predators in exchange for Josef Vasicek, Walker has totaled 22 goals and 32 assists in 88 games with the Hurricanes.
An Ontario native, Walker signed a three-year contract in June to remain with the Hurricanes.
