Senators D Volchenkov out four weeks
Nov 30, 2007 - 5:26 PM TORONTO (Ticker) -- Ottawa Senators defenseman Anton Volchenkov suffered a broken finger during the first period of Thursday's game against the Nashville Predators, according to TSN of Canada.Citing undisclosed sources, TSN reports that Volchenkov will be sidelined for four weeks.
Volchenkov, who entered the contest with four assists and 27 penalty minutes in 23 games this season, suffered the injury while blocking a shot.
The Russian leads the league in blocked shots this season.
