Flames D Pardy eyes debut
Dec 7, 2007 - 11:58 PM CALGARY, Alberta (Ticker) -- With defenseman Robyn Regehr out with a fractured foot, Adam Pardy expects to be inserted into the Calgary Flames' lineup when they return to the ice to face the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday."I have to realize it's a huge possibility," said Pardy, who was recalled from Quad City of the American Hockey League on Monday. "It's going to be exciting, and I can't wait to get in there and get in the lineup.
"I just have to focus on what I can do and what I'm here for."
A sixth-round pick in 2004, Pardy has registered two goals and six assists in 24 games with Quad City this campaign.
The 23-year-old native of Bonavista, Newfoundland is expected to fill in for Regehr, who was hit in the foot with a shot during the second period of Thursday's shootout loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins.
