Sabres C Roy uncertain vs. Flyers

Dec 20, 2007 - 10:31 PM BUFFALO, New York (Ticker) -- Buffalo Sabres center Derek Roy missed Thursday's practice with a shoulder injury and remains questionable for Friday's game against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Roy scored a goal in the first period of Buffalo's 2-1 victory over the New York Islanders on Wednesday, but left the game later in the session.

"It's somewhere between a bad bruise and a sprain," Sabres coach Lindy Ruff told the Buffalo News on Thursday. "Derek just had some treatment today."

Ruff said that he would determine Roy's availability on Friday morning.

Roy, who has 13 goals and 16 assists in 32 games this season, was the Sabres' second-round pick in the 2001 draft.

The 24-year-old has 61 goals and 96 assists in 226 career games.
